      On Tuesday evening, January 13, 110 representatives from 36 participating churches and 7 participating organizations gathered in Baltimore for the Third Annual Meeting. 25 Seminarians joined us on Wednesday, January 14. A non-partisan public statement on eliminating domestic poverty was issued from Washington D.C. on Thursday, January 15, followed by meetings with Congressional leaders. Learn more

      CCT encountered Luke 4:18: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor”
      On Wednesday, January 9, participants joined with seminarians for a day of discussion and discernment of CCT’s strategy regarding our domestic poverty initiative. On Thursday, January 10, the group met in small discernment groups to pray and think together about what God might be calling CCT to do as individuals, as churches and as CCT together in regard to poverty and in addition to the “Statement on Poverty.”

      The leadership of thirty-six churches and national Christian organizations gathered at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, California on Wednesday, February 7, to celebrate the formation of Christian Churches Together in the USA.
