Gun Violence Awareness Weekend

Places of worship across the nation are joining the National Cathedral, PICO and Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, a coalition of nearly 50 denominations and faith-based organizations, to reflect, unite and act on the issue of gun violence.

The weekend of Mar 15-17 provides the nation’s interfaith community an opportunity to raise our collective voice just as policy debates on reducing gun violence reach fever pitch at the state and federal level. The centerpiece event of the weekend will be at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. where gun violence victims’ families, survivors, interfaith leaders, lawmakers, urban community leaders, and people of all faiths and perspectives will gather for a series of panel discussions and an interfaith service.
