Monica Schaap Pierce, ph.D. Executive Director

Monica Schaap Pierce has served as CCT’s Executive Director since 2022. A member of the Reformed Church in America, she is deeply dedicated to fostering ecumenical dialogue on a global and national scale as well as within local communities. Her influence spans various areas, notably in facilitating multilateral Christian conversations, sharing her expertise in local churches and denominational gatherings, strengthening Catholic-Reformed relations as Chair of the U.S. Catholic-Reformed dialogue, and periodically teaching theology and church history at Calvin University. Dr. Schaap Pierce's leadership within organizations such as Creation Justice Ministries, the National Council of Churches, and Christian Churches Together has played a pivotal role in advancing Christian unity and cultivating understanding and collaboration within the Christian community.


The Steering Committee serves as CCT’s board of directors; its members represent the families and organizations of CCT.
