CCT’s Method of Receptive Ecumenism
Receptive Ecumenism
is both a way of thinking and a process that enables unity to be built by receiving gifts from others. It invites participants to recognize their own needs in ecumenical dialogue, and to put themselves in the place of being a recipient, to listen and receive first.
“Preparing Our Hearts”:
CCT’s devotional guide on Receptive Ecumenism
At Christian Churches Together, every conversation is shaped by the practice of Receptive Ecumenism—a way of listening deeply and learning from one another across traditions. To help prepare participants for the annual Forum, CCT created a 5-day devotional guide with Scripture, reflection, and prayer prompts. This guide can be used in a variety of settings to prepare people for ecumenical encounter.
